The Recipe: Make Your Own Festival Food

Nobody missed that summer 2022 is the summer when we can finally go to concerts, festivals and other events. How crazy would he be? Will we all be like cows who are allowed out to graze? Gutenberg will crack. I who think about food around the clock are of course very excited about summer food from different carts. I’ll never forget that lagoon for breakfast or that hamburger eaten late in front of a concert at Way Out West. This late burger might not be much to me, because I’ve become a mother, but the food should and can be eaten anyway. I’ve developed three recipes for typical festival food with just a few extras. It is food that you can eat on the go, before the party, during the party or while you are playing. Well, it turns out, the ideas for opening a food cart popped up perfectly.

4 servings

This nachos made me want to start a food cart. Had I eaten it at a festival, I might have stood there and eaten and skipped the rest. Although I love music and dancing and hate the stress that usually involves serving food.

Fried beans:

1 onion

3 garlic cloves

1 tablespoon butter (for frying) + 2 tablespoons butter

2 cans cooked black beans (about 460g)

2 tablespoons tomato puree

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon paprika powder

1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

1/2 teaspoon chili flakes

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1 broth cube

1 beer, light beer 33cl

1/2 deciliter of water

Jalapeno pickles:

6 jalapenos

1 deciliter of water

2 tablespoons of sugar

1 tablespoon vinegar (12%)

To apply:

200 grams of nachochips

2 dl of shredded cheese

1 red onion

2 tomatoes

1 lemon

1 jar coriander

1.5 deciliters of sour cream

Jalapeno pickles: Jalapeno slice. Boil water, sugar and vinegar. When the sugar dissolves, set the jalapenos aside.

Fried beans: Set the oven to 250 degrees. Rinse and let the beans dry in a colander. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat the butter and fry the onions until soft. Add tomato paste and stir. Let the mashed tomatoes fry until they burn a little, and they become tastier. With all the spices and stir.

Add beans, stock cubes, water and beer. mix up. Let it simmer under the lid for 15 minutes or more, the longer the better. Mash the beans with a spoon and stir until mixture is creamy and smooth. Finish the bait with two tablespoons of butter. Taste if you want more chili, salt, or pepper.

mounting: Place the nachos on a baking tray, and top with the bean mixture and shredded cheese. You can choose to serve four singles or one large serving. Bake in the oven for about ten minutes or until the chips take on a little color and the cheese has melted.

Finely chop the red onion and tomato. Top the nachos with the tomatoes, red onion, sour cream, jalapenos, cilantro, and lemon to squeeze to taste.

Recipe: Banbesa

1 pizza

I buy perfectly prepared pizza dough when I want it to go fast, there’s incredibly good dough in stores these days. The tomato sauce is made cool, and it doesn’t have to boil indefinitely until it’s good.

1 pizza dough (300 g)

tomato sauce:

1 can whole tomato

1 clove garlic

1/2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1/2 tablespoon light miso or light soy paste

1/2 tablespoon olive oil

pinch of flake salt

Topping:

150 gr grated cheese

1 red onion

1 tablespoon fresh or dried oregano

Set the oven to 250 degrees. Mix all tomato sauce ingredients with a hand mixer. Cut the red onion into slices.

Press the pizza dough into a square shape. Spread the tomato sauce and cheese in parallel in a striped pattern. Spread the onions evenly over the pizza.

Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese has melted and the pizza has a nice color. Top with oregano.

Recipe: hamburger

4 burgers

Hamburger is my favorite dish. It has it all: protein, salad, bread, good dressing, and it can be eaten anywhere. You don’t have to make burgers with meat, there are very good vegetarian options in most stores. This is very good and very fast

4 hamburger buns

4 ready made veggie burgers

4 slices cheddar cheese

1/2 silver onion

1 tomato

4 large lettuce leaves

ketchup

mustard

hamburger sauce:

3 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 teaspoon tomato paste

1 teaspoon sriracha

1 teaspoon sweet mustard

4 option

pinch of flake salt

Pinch of freshly ground black pepper

We start with the sauce. Finely chop the cucumber and mix it with the rest of the ingredients. Taste with salt flakes and a little black pepper.

Slice the silver onion and tomato. Put the lettuce leaves in cold water.

Fry the burgers until nice on both sides. Put a slice of cheddar cheese and put a lid on the pan.

Fry the bread on both sides. Assemble time: Squeeze the mustard and ketchup onto the bread, add the salad leaves and a little bit of the dressing. We finish with burgers, more sauce, tomatoes and onions. mothers!
